40 Days of Preparation for the Consecration of the Croatian People to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

40 Days of Preparation for the Consecration of the Croatian People to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Bishops of the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have determined that the Croatian people will consecrate themselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 27, 2025 – on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Let us prepare for this magnificent and salvific act over 40 days, commencing 18 May to 26 June 2025, by praying the Litany to the Sacred Heart of Jesus each day (see below). Naturally, you may add any other prayers that will help with this devotion.

Following the example of the numerous biblical events associated with the number “40”, let us also make an effort to prepare our hearts through prayer, fasting and receiving the Sacraments of Confession and Eucharistic Communion, so that we can truly receive this saving Consecration. In that way, we will enter the Promised Land of God’s love, through the Heart of Jesus.

Let us persevere! Let us not be deceived by any temptations or wiles of the evil one if he tries to discourage us in any way.
We await the day of Consecration with faith, hope, love, prayer, and without fear because we know that the Glorious Triumph of the Two Hearts – Jesus and Mary – is surely coming!

May the Holy Spirit lead us in all this! Bog i Hrvati
